Yes, but in Dink's test, I WAS using the dotted decimal format.

I know that ANY station I select from the Shoutcast gateway produces this same
error. I can certainly try YOUR post-Lookup test, using dotted decimal IP
addresses for the stations, but I think it's a very safe bet that the result will
be the same.

Interesting, but this is over my head. I may pose this question to Dink.

Do you have Z! installed, and set up (per Dink's instructions) to receive
Shoutcast streams ? If you intend to do any more than try to resolve an address,
this will be a prerequisite. I don't know what happens if you click on a link,
and have no way of receiving the stream -- that may be pointless. Otherwise, the
front door of their station portal is at http://shoutcast.com/

ANY and EVERY.

Even though it would have been a PITA to track the responsible setting down, I
was kind of hoping the culprit was going to be the firewall. Now that that's
fallen out as a possible contributing factor, I'm really in the dark. Nothing
relevant should have changed here since this was all working well, as a matter of
course. But now it doesn't.

This may be a job for Jerry Rash . . . .

I tried your DSLAM link, and it crashed 4.61. (I'm still doing my mail in 4.61,
and some browsing.) Will have to view that with Mozilla.
