Thank you. I've been trying to follow the network security advice in the following    
OS2ezine article:

Based on that article, I can give you some information about your machine. Your first   
two (2) netstat entries:  
 
 SOCK   TYPE       FOREIGN          LOCAL         FOREIGN         STATE  
                     PORT             PORT            HOST  
======  =====      ==========      ==========      ==========    ========  
     3 STREAM           60148           60149       127.0.0.1  ESTABLISH  
     4 STREAM           60149           60148       127.0.0.1  ESTABLISH  
 
are basically the loopback IP address on your computer (IP=127.0.0.1). You have a link   
between ports 60148 and 60149 on your own machine. However, I don't know what   
those ports do.
