I think it's likely that the $80 Blaupunkt deal at Fry's has gone
with the wind. But I believe that one can commmonly find a decent
AM/FM/CD(+MP3) car radio for around $130 or so. Crutchfield's is
commonly mentioned as a source for this kind of thing. Let your
fingers do the walking (across the keyboard, that is).

I bought my first MP3-capable car stereo for ~$300 (an AIWA, and
I was real hard up (desperate) for a birthday present). The factory
radio in my 2004 Honda (recently necessitated by a high-speed crash
into the center divider) is an ugly, brain-damaged, rip-off by
comparison to aftermerket offerings.

I get around 10 hours of regular songs (~250 MP3's) onto one CD,
and I get to choose the music _I_ like. It's great for long trips
through radio wasteland -- I do _NOT_ undertand Spanish).
And I let Best Buy install it (for around $80). No crawling
around under the dash for me! Well, not any more anyway.

Steve Carter mentioned a Blaupunkt (sp?) that plays MP3s on sale at
