I had SmartSuite installed under eCS 1.03. It is still there on my
program/data drive after installing eCS 1.1, but I have no entries in
CONFIG.SYS or any folder on my desktop, and I can't run it. The eCS 1.03
partition is dead - don't ask. :-(
How can I get SmartSuite working again?
I have tried to re-install from eCS 1.1 CD #3. I put the CD in Drive S:,
open a window, switch to S:, type Install, select option 1, and I get:
SYS1059: The system cannot execute the specified program.
After a reboot you can install the update to 1.7.1
Press any key to continue
After a reboot, I can repeat the above, ad infinitum.
Help SYS1059 shows:
SYS1059: The system cannot execute the specified program.
EXPLANATION: The operating system encountered an unknown
error while attempting to start up the program.
ACTION: Contact the supplier of the program.
There are NO references to Lotus or SmartSuite in my CONFIG.SYS, but
plenty in the registry (searched with REGEDIT2). I can't find anything
related in the INI files using INI.EXE from FM/2.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
