Hi Harry
Happy New Year !
I do believe that your intention to change from 1.1.8 to 1.4.2 is not
that good !
On the other I do notiece that your CONFIG.SYS still contains the very
old =
entries of JavaOS2 !!
I think you should delete / erase the JavaOS2 environment and keep
1.1.8 !!!
Additionally you may then install 1.3.x plus 1.4.x versions up to your
needs !?
I hope some more comptent fellows will jump in and confirm my
suggestions =
and give more practicable assistance and guidance ;-)
Have a nice day

Subject: SCOUG-Help: Integrate Java 1.4.2
Can anyone instruct me on editing/updating my CONFIG.SYS file to
reference Java 1.4.2 instead of Java 1.1.8? Right now I =
have the following entries in my CONFIG.SYS
LIBPATH=3DC:\JAVA11\DLL;C:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\DLL;C:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\DAEMON;
...,
SET PATH=3DC:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\BIN;C:\JAVA11\BIN; ...,
SET DPATH=3DC:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\HELP; ...,
SET HELP=3DC:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\HELP; ...,
SET CLASSPATH=3DC:\JAVAOS2\LIB\JEMPCL10.ZIP;.\. ...,
SET INCLUDE=3DC:\JAVAOS2\INCLUDE;C:\JAVAOS2\INCLUDE\OS2; ...,
SET LIB=3DC:\JAVAOS2\LIB; ,,,.
The Java 1.4.2 directory has a BIN subdirectory. Therefore,
C:\JAVAOS2\LIB should probably change to C:\JAVA142\LIB, =
right???? Should C:\JAVA11\ICATJAVA\BIN;C:\JAVA11\BIN go over to
C:\JAVA142\BIN????
I don't seem to have an INCLUDE subdirectory under Java 142.
Any help on this is muchly appreciated. Thanks.
HCM
