What's wrong with good 'ol Zip archives and a manual install ? In theory,
the Warpin install database is a good idea, but I have yet to see it make
any important contribution to the running of OS/2 | eCS, at least for me.

Good point. This far after the fact, I couldn't tell you which .WPI's I d/l'd
with 4.61, and which with v. 1.2 or later Mozilla. Maybe there is one of the
later FAT32.IFS on the last SCOUG cd . . . ?
Probably the safer thing for downloads would be if all the .WPI stuff was
distributed inside a Zip.
