Hi John =

I tried to discuss on rational !

You answered emotinal ;-(
Like this there is no sense to discuss because it is like you =

love, in case of elder cars, your Caddilac and I my Lincoln !?

None of us both may listen to the others suggestion and we will =

not change our cars nor will we give in your car to be better !!

Back to rational:
Of course OS/2 also has it years but was kept maintained to stay =

quite accurate but has to follow M$ game rules, i.e. =

no 32-bit WIN-OS/2 stack ;-((

I do not know if WARP Version 3 already was on the market =

in 1993 but WARP Version 4 came at the and of 1996.

So ROBOSAVE is a tool of 1993 and has not changed since !!!

OS/2 WARP, whatever versions and opposite to ROBOSAVE, =

has gotten very many FixPacks and other updates very frequently.

My OS/2's are either MCP 4.52 with accurate FP or the normal =

WARP 4 with FP16 plus accurate DDpack's.

Well, this all does not mean that ROBOSAV isn't good !

I had preferred to hear more good and technical facts from =

experienced ROBOSAV users to have points to compare =

it with the WPS builtin archive tool ;-))

Otherwise it will end like we with our elder cars:
We can drive them but there are NO abs, airbags etc ;-((

Have a nice day, svobi

Subject: SCOUG-Help: Archive boot, was Checkini hang / Robosave !?

>In my eyes ROBOSAVE from 1993 is very, very old !

I'm sure I don't need to remind you that Warp 4 came out only three
years
later. Its easy to forget, but Warp 4 is very, very old as well :)

>I believe that ROBOSAVE does not match the new system =

>folder and file structure of WARP Version 4 !!

What "new" system folder and file structure?

I have used it many, many times for the last 8 or 9 years. I don't know
what you think has changed, but there is no evidence of such change on
my
systems, or others who I know are using it.

>Myself I would really hesitate using such old stuff on my =

>accurate system !!!

Your base system is nearly as old...... but it still works, right? =

>BTW: I am very happy and satisfied with the WPS builtin =

>archive tool but ONE needs to adjust the OS2.KEY file =

>to match ONES system needs !!

Then that is the tool you want to use. =

One can very easily tweak the profile for Robosave to backup anything
you
want. Can't do that with the WPS archive, but it is all a personal
choice.

Thanks, John
