You have to decide.  I've owned my copy forever, so its more than paid for  
itself.  If nothing else the ease and robustness of the backup and restore  
tools have saved me more than enough time to pay for the app.  
 
Unimaint does a lot of stuff beyond just cleaning the the WPS INIs which I  
find useful.  With the exception of the uninstall application menu  
options, I use all the options more or less regularly.  
 
Anecdotally, Peter had a lot of troubles with INI file corruption until he  
got serious with Unimaint.  It did require that he spend some time working  
support, but that's one reason to buy a supported app.
