Hmm.  dSync is now up to version 0.1.6z (http://zuko.mitm.ru/files/)  
and the history readme says:  
 
  v 0.1.5 (6/01/2003)  
    some NLS support added, working only on non-DBCS systems & codepages!  
 
  v 0.1.3 (23/09/2001)  
    Added support for NFS volumes - NFSSupport=On|Off in config file.
