If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

Some messages are definitely disappearing, in this on-again, off-again
server paralysis, spawned by MyDoom and its siblings. For the last
couple days, I was getting intermittent "SMTP server responded:
(Null)" error on attempts to send. In between these, I sent out some
Test Messages (to either one of my two other mail accounts), and, 24 -
48 hours later, it seems clear that they have vanished into the
aether. SBC tech support -- after the usual ignorant, red herring BS
about *my* h/w, mail program, settings, and OS -- finally acknowledged
that they have a server problem (along with *lots* of other
networks). "Please be patient, we're working on it." Uh-huh.
