Subject: SCOUG-Help: Dial-up and Browser

=====================================================

On a recent trip, I used my laptop (Thinkpad 600 E -- OS/2 Warp 4, FP 15)
to dial in to my ISP using Injoy. I could connect to my ISP and use MR/2
ICE to successful retrieve my email. But when I opened my brower, I could
not connect to any url's except that for my ISP. The browser would
eventually time out (both with Mozilla and with Netscape).

What is curious is that last summer on a trip, the browser worked just
fine using Injoy to dial up.

The only difference between then and now, at least as far as I know, is
that I added a wireless lan card to my laptop. Althought the laptop now
has two lan cards (one cabled and one wireless), only one is enabled (I
had to remove all traces of the cabled card before the wireless one would
work).

Once I got home and switched from dialup to lan, the browser worked just
fine again.

On this last trip, I had tried remming out the driver for the wireless
card, but I still couldn't get the browser to connect. If I put the
decimal address in place of the url, I got an error message "connection
refused." MR/2 worked just fine, however.

Is this an Injoy problem? Is this a browser problem? Or is it something
else?

Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?

Thanks,
Sandy
