Ray,
Normally, that's exactly what I do. In this case I hestitated before I bought the card,
because of the driver issue (but I went ahead and bought it anyway). I want to change
cards as quickly (but seamlessly) as I can, so I can continue tracking down (and
eliminating) a trap that I've been experiencing on this machine. I think the trap is
associated with the Crystal drivers for the Aopen soundcard, that I am now presently
using (I don't want to get into why).
My thinking on the SoundBlaster card that I got is that I can always return it to Fry's,
assuming that its not right for my system and that I have not yet opened the box.
