I picked this up from a local list I'm subscribed to.

I use Mozilla, but the settings are the same, no suprise.
No clear feedback here yet, on DSL.

I picked this up off of an IRC channel. For faster page rendering
in Firefox, in the address bar type about:config and hit Enter.

Scroll down to network.http.pipelining and double-click to change it to True.

Then change the network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to something higher,
but sensible.

I set it to 12. A guy with lots of RAM on his system set it to 50.
Even at 12, page displays are noticeably quicker.

Give it a shot and report back your results.
