SCOUG Warpstock 2005 Meeting Success

OS/2 users from as far away as San Diego showed up at the
first SCOUG Warpstock 2005 planning meeting at Hotel
Huntington Beach.

"The Hotel Huntington Beach is a perfect location for SCOUG
Warpstock 2005" says Jerry Rash, the driving force behind
this bid for next year's Warpstock. "They have all the
meeting rooms we need, a perfect placement for the vendor
tables, and because we're booking well in advance we can get
a great price for the meeting rooms and some low room rates
for those staying at the hotel."

The planning meeting participants took a careful facility
walk-through, discussed the budget, went over the calendar
of deadlines, discussed presenters, topics, position of the
vendor tables, number of meeting rooms, the SCOUG Warpstock
hospitality suite, special events, the closing ceremony,
training classes, new products likely to be introduced at
the show and local family-oriented attractions for those
coming from out of town.

The next step is for SCOUG to decide if indeed it wants to
do the show. Jerry will talk to the SCOUG membership at
the Saturday December 18 meeting and the SCOUG Board Of
Directors will meet and discuss sponsorship of SCOUG
Warpstock 2005.

If SCOUG chooses to proceed, the next step is to send a
"letter of intent" to Warpstock, Inc. by December 31.

"Warpstock, Inc. will supply the funds and SCOUG will supply
the manpower" continues Jerry. "Southern California is an
OS/2 center and we will put on the best Warpstock that's
ever been held. We'll draw guests from all over the United
States as well as international OS/2 users."

Plan on attending the Saturday December 18 SCOUG meeting to
hear more about SCOUG Warpstock 2005. This meeting is also
the annual SCOUG Holidays meeting with a big raffle, some
top-notch OS/2 presentations and, of course, free coffee and
donuts.

On December 18 join everyone else! Come to SCOUG!

For more information on SCOUG Warpstock 2005 contact Jerry
Rash at rashj@pacbell.net.
