Since you didn't say, I'm assuming you are trying to view cdrecord.man.  I  
recommend you don't assume all .man files are formatted the same.  They  
are not.  
 
I use less.exe to view cdrecord.man, but there are several viewers than  
can handle the ascii formatting codes that it contains.  
 
I have not used qedit in years, but IIRC, it has a mode that will handle  
the formatting codes.  You might hunt through the settings.
