The plastic lenses are the biggest problem. They're fuzzy. You can
apply edge sharpening filters to an image but it looks a heck of a lot
better if it's in focus to begin with. (PMView has some edge filters if
you want to play with them. I don't know what algorithm PMView uses.
The algorithm I'm familiar with is an NxN array around each pixel with a
subsequent analysis of four lines drawn through the center pixel.)
