This may or may not address your question.
My second HDD has a single extended partition. The first 8G (1024) is
Fat32, created with PM 3.05. OS/2 shares that partition with W98SE
which is on C: FAT 16, which it shares with DRDOS. OS/2 can create and
read long file names on that partition.
I have the same second HDD setup on my storage box on a P-P net. I can
read and write LFN across the NET to that partition also.
