The answer is it depends on what it takes to install the app and how you
manage your volume/drive lettering.
If all the app needs is a Desktop object that you can click on, you don't
have to copy anything.
If the app, keeps a private INI file or configuration file with hardcoded
drive letters, you might need to copy the app.
If the app has a complicated configuration, like Smartsuite or Mozilla,
you are probably going to need a separate install.
