Did you use the installer version of v1.4.1 for this?  If so, that should be OK.
 
 
Try turning off the junk controls and see if the behavior persists.  You might want to check Bugzilla and see if this is a know problem.  It's
 definitely not a problem here with v1.6a.
 
 
It's always possible you have index corruption.  You might want to try compacting your folders.
