Can anyone tell me how to test a suspect ATX power supply? My computer
won't start. It was working three days ago. It is old. The problem is
either (1) bad on-off switch, (2) bad power supply, or (3) something
really bad. I tried unplugging the front panel power switch and
jumpering its headers on the MB: still no power. Removing the PS and
plugging it in (turned on, set for 110 volts) causes nothing, no fan, no
smoke. How can I test it (looking for the fan to go on)? I recall
something about it not starting unless it gets a "power good" signal. I
know which lead is power good. What can I do?
