So it does. For some reason, someone felt the need to change this. It's=

documented, but not expected.

Could be either. If you have a fan, you can test for heat problems by
blowing air on the unit to see if it will stay up longer with forced air
circulation. You could also put the unit in an oven at 120=B0 or so and =
see
if the built-up heat causes a failure to boot. If you use heat, be
careful to not get the unit so hot inside the case that something melts.

Given that replacing the MBR and BM seems to have helped somewhat, if you=

do have a heat problem, it's possible that some data got clobbered during=

the failures.
