Its been a while since I did this -- when I switched from IBMNET to EARTHLINK.
What I did, in that instance, was to set up an account for each service. I
would dial up IBMNET and get the mail; then hang up (well, I suppose this is
obvious, but...) Then I would dial up EARTHLINK and get the mail. From time
to time, I would drag mail from the IBMNET account to the EARTHLINK account so
that I could deal with it as a single entity.
Incidentally, I invested in the PMMail Archiver by Jonathan Bayer. I have a
separate ARCHIVE account set up to which I drag mail I want to archive. PMMail
Archiver handles the process of zipping up the mail, removing it from the
ARCHIVE account, and updating the folder control objects. Works for me.
