I've made progress, finally, on my new AMD computer. I now have Warp and
WinXP set up under boot manager, with WinXP on the 40gb ide drive, and I
installed a second scsi U160 drive.

Now, If I could get the no-name PCI modem working, I'd have a working
computer. I've done searches on Google, IBM driver pack, and Hobbes, but
nothing came up that seemed relevant.

The modem came with the AMD barebones, along with a cdrom with some fax
software and other stuff (no OS/2 "driver", although I've heard a modem
drivers aren't necessary under Warp). I think I have it installed under
WinXP... but I'm not sure how to test it since I don't really have any
applications for it; I tried to send a fax to myself just to see if it would
try to dial out, and it didn't seem to be trying to do that. It appears to
be a "netodragon V.92" PCI modem (according to the WinXP driver that came
with it, although WinXP says the driver isn't "registered" with Microsoft as
a WinXP driver). I can see a Motorola chip on it. WinXP says it set it up on
com3.

Under Warp, I tried altering my compuserve dial-up settings to put the modem
on com3, but it does not seem to be working there either. Settings were
originally for a US Robotics on com1, and I've tried choosing a "Motorola
V3400" setting, but I'm shooting in the dark.

Anybody have any words of wisdom on how I can properly set this modem up and
check it with some simple tests?

Thanks,
Wayne
