Jordan, sorry I can't help you.  My T20 did not have built-in Ethernet, and the modem is   
a Lucent Winmodem.  (I have to use a PCMCIA Ethernet card).  
 
I know the Schiffmans have a T2x series ThinkPad; hopefully they can help you.
