Every chipset is different. If you contact ASUS they should be able to
tell you what your particular motherboard will do. Or you can contact
the chipset manufacturer and request the technical manuals (or download
them, probably in PDF format). I seem to recall Intel having a problem
about 18 months ago and instructing motherboard manufacturers to not
allow a full memory complement on boards with one of their chipsets. As
I recall, boards were already in the sales channel at that point.
