I have three (IBM and Lexmark) lasers: 4019, 4039 10R, 4039 10 Plus. The
4019 is not currently in use, I removed it to make way for a 4039, but I
have the other two attached to PC's. I bought these printers used. I only
have an operator's manual for the 4019 and no manuals for the 4039's; the
IBM and Lexmark websites do not contain much information on these
now-obsolete printers. I use Warp 4 fp 15, and used the WarpGuide "guidance
on adding a printer" to set them up.

Is there a website that would give me some info on these printers?

My main question is about downloaded fonts.... are they needed/useful, where
does one get these downloadable fonts, and how do they get downloaded?

Once downloaded, how does one verify the fonts that are resident on the
printer?

Do you have to download the same font in different font sizes?

Does the printer automatically use the downloaded font when it receives a
print job that uses it?

What are the differences between the 10R and the 10 Plus? (ie, which is the
better printer)

How does one get rid of associated printer definitions when a printer is
removed?

BTW, my "boot hang" has not returned. I am still not certain what was
causing it, but I suspect installing the later aic7870.add and aic7870.snp
files may have done it. I have not reverted to the older versions to verify
that, I'm just too happy to be able to boot on the first try.
My thanks to those that were assisting me on the boot hang problem.
