I currently back up to dedicated hard drives using XCOPY.

I'm thinking about compressing the backup but PKZip For OS/2 only
handles about 5,000 files in an archive (I verified this with PKWare's
tech support).

Info-Zip's zip.exe is a possibility. From the documentation I've come
up with the following command line to back up my entire H: drive. Any
suggestions regarding the parameters?

zip -E -S -9 -$ -r N:\H\DriveH.zip h:\*

-E is optional since it's for .longnames which I don't need since I'm
HPFS.
-S includes System and Hidden files.
-9 is maximum compression.
-$ stores the volume label.
-r ("recursive") zips the entire drive tree.

Have I missed anything?
