The wording is questionable. The backups always got a timestamp
description. Was was added was the ability to enter your own additional
description.

You and only run the repair option for the current desktop. I don't think
there's any technical reason for this. It just makes the code simplier.

However, you are not limited to straight replacement. If you knew what
you were doing, you could use your favorite .INI editor and fix things up.
Of course this is not practical for many types of errors. The data is
just too complicated.
