That would happen if the backup failed for any reason. You need some sort
of setup to alert you when an automated function fails.

Also, if you set the backups well within the limits of your backup tool,
the amount of administration is minimal.

That's good. We are starting to see some of the effects of today's huge
drives on the original design decisions.

Not offhand. A google search should find it. It might be documented in
the WSeB readme. What I did find was:
