We have DSL with a Linksys router/switch. I find that some web pages
that load and display normally on a Win 98 machine on our LAN either
load extremely slowly (minutes) or not at all on two OS/2 systems on the
same LAN. www.motherboards.org is an example. The first page loads OK
(but more slowly than on the WIN system), but from there we cannot get
the page with the search engine to load (once in awile it will, after a
long wait, but when it does, the search functions don't work). On
loading the first page an "unsupported JAVA version" message shows, and
we also get frequent "broken pipe" messages. I heard that these latter
were fixed by the latest Linksys router firmware. Got that and
installed it, but no improvement. Fairly often my homepage, GTE.net
won't load or loads very slowly. I'm waiting for eCS, and will start
fresh then, but I'd like to understand what might be the cause of this
behavior. Any insights appreciated. Running NS 4.61, latest refresh.

Thanks,
Ben Archer
