Hi Sandy,

I'm short on sleep - is this the same problem that the "Aopen 320 &
internal speaker" thread is discussing?

Don't disown the motherboard yet. Try a spare speaker w/ cable on it,
or if you have a scope check the motherboard speaker output -- it should
be a positive-going square wave while beeping. If you unplug the
speaker cable and stick a couple of clothing pins into the connector on
the cable and put a 1.5-volt battery across them, the speaker should
make a "click" sound.
