I used NU SPEEDISK for W95 to defrag a fat partition shared by OS/2 and
W95 and other DOS. In preparation I changed the name of EA DATA. SF to
a standard 8.3 name. After defrag I changed it back but missed the
space before the SF. The next time I booted OS/2 there was no EA file,
I figured I screwed up something, did not know what, so I used checkdsk
to create a new one, and all was well.

So now I have the old and new EA files to compare. The new one is 360K,
the old one is over 12M. Does this imply it has been collecting trash?
Is this a good thing I did? Should I do it more often?
