Subject: SCOUG-General: Look at this month's "Ink"!

Content Type: text/plain

Tony writes that OpenOffice is ready to play. He has ordered, but not
yet received, the "gold" code. The cost is reasonable, and he's seeing
super compatibility with MS Word. I won't repeat his entire article
here, but it makes interesting reading, and it was just posted today.

I just received some Word docs at work which I wanted to send home (my
pension estimates). Lotus Smartsuite WordPro didn't do well with them.
Now, I have a good reason to go get OpenOffice and see how good it is on
something that matters to me.

Enjoy,
Colin
