Subject: SCOUG-General: The InfoToday 2002 conference

Content Type: text/plain

Hi,

I attended the InfoToday conference, but I found the quality of the
presentations quite mixed. A few were wonderful, some OK, but I feel that
too many were mediocre. Did anyone else who attended have a similar
experience?

I was surprised by the fact that some of the presenters, as well as fellow
attendees, were quite downbeat about the future of the information
professional field. Does anyone agree with that assessment (ie that the
future doesn't look good for IPs), and have any ideas about what to do
about it?

Hubert
